Lauren: French Poster Inspired

Lauren and Jillian's wedding will take place at Les Zygomates Wine Bar and Bistro in Boston. Lauren described their wedding as sleek urban and sent me this photo of the restaurant.Lauren wanted me to use the photo for inspiration. I fell in love with the love of the Chat Noir poster. I did some research and found many versions of the poster. This one, from AllPosters.com became my inspiration for these invitations.

The rsvp postcards are oversized and include a red and black ornament custom stamps.

We also included an accommodations card for this modern triple layer square invitation suite.

Wedding Christmas Cards

When Lauren saw Katy's Christmas cards last week, she asked if I could do the same for her. It has been so much fun to take my bride's wedding themes and turn them into Christmas Cards.

Christmas Cards!

I've always done my own Christmas cards, but this year I have three other Christmas Cards to share. I did these for Katy and changed around her monogram and stripe theme from her wedding invitations.

Kelli's Vintage Lace Wedding

This is probably one of my favorite projects this season. The Detroit Athletic Club Wedding Reception was all vintage and lace. My favorite pieces were the Family Tree Seating Charts! I did a silhouette of the bride and groom and organized each chart as a family tree. I would love to do silhouette wedding invitations in 2010. ;)

I also designed lace wedding programs

with lace in the reveal of the program.

Raspberry colored wedding agendas - a twist on the typical menu.

Lace table numbers

A sign for her guest book which is a coffee table book.

And rasberry favor tags with blueberry ribbon that she wrapped around Mackinac Island Fudge!

Monogram Wedding

Shanelle and David are getting married this weekend at the Charles H. Wright Museum in Detroit, Michigan. The space is incredible and I can't wait to see the photos from The Shooting Gallery.

Shanelle isn't doing assigned seating so I made a few Reserved Signs for the family tables.

I designed programs detailing the Jumping of the Broom in their ceremony.

Signs to hang outside the ceremony site so visitors to the museum know not to walk in.

And my favorite - long tags that the valet will hang from the review mirrors.

Shannon + Steven: New Year's Gala Wedding Invitations

I met with Shannon and her mom what seems to be ages ago. It was over breakfast and there was ice and snow on the ground back in March. :) The ideas for her invitations have changed so many times - some ideas you'll see in the future. ;) But one thing has remained constant - the theme is Vintage New Year's Eve in Detroit.
When Shannon's coordinator, Misty from Bells and Bliss, mentioned that there would be feather centerpieces and lush tableclothes, I immediately knew I wanted to use a lush, rich cardstock. I chose this ivory cardstock that feels like velvet when you touch it. Gold is another big element for the evening so I printed the invitation with gold foil. The invitation is layered with a rich and delicate linen finish gold cardstock. The invitation wording and design all center around New Year's Eve.
Another element that I wanted was a gold ticket inviting the guests to the event.
The wording is different on these as well, asking the guests to reserve their spot at the party.
The rsvp postcard ticket was also designed with matching postage stamps.
The ticket's tear off portion was designed with hotel, transportation and parking information.
The envelopes are also the lush velvety cream paper and so surprising to the touch.

New Year's Eve custom postage finished off this amazing invitation suite.

Erin's Circle Wedding Reception

I loved Erin's z-card invitations and had so much fun designing a few of the reception items.

Bi-Fold Circle Programs

And CD Favors for each guest! The CD jacket is printed with their monogram on the front. The CDs are professionally printed with her circle design.

The songs were listed on the back with a barcode for the wedding date.

Will you be my . . .

I've been asked many time in the past if I make "Will you be my Bridesmaid" cards. I've never gotten the chance to do them. Christine asked me if I would make Groomsmen and Bridesmaid labels for beer bottles! The Bud Light label was the inspiration and I made them in the colors of her wedding - purple, black and ivory. The label around the neck of the bottle said "Premium" for the Best Man and Maid of Honor, "Original" for the Groomsmen and Bridesmaids. Then Christine do Yoo Hoo bottles for the Junior Bridesmaids and they said "Light".

Leslie + Brandon: New Year's Eve Inspired

Leslie's New Year's Eve Wedding has so much fun to design. Leslie described themselves as fun and all of their friends would expect something different from them. the color alone are very different - all jewels tones of turquoise, amethyst and ruby.

The decor for the evening will be willow branches with crystals and candles hanging from the branches. I never like the way the bare branches look on an invitation though. So I kept with the fun idea and designed a swirl pattern and place dots on the swirls.

Her rsvp postcard has a fun divider and custom new year's eve stamps.

The front of the postcard has a monogram that was followed through out the suite.

The accommodations were printed on a bright turquoise peacock cardstock.

Custom monogram postage stamps were designed for the dark purple outer envelopes.

Kathy + Benjamin: New Year's Eve Inspired Wedding Invitations

Kathy's Blue Bell County Club New Year's Eve Wedding is going to be gorgeous in the red, silver and black color scheme. Like so many of my brides, Kathy loves the minimalist look.

The invitation suite was designed with an all lower case script font and a sans serif upper case font for the text.

Her rsvp postcard was designed with repeating text of their names, "New Year's Eve" and the date.

The back of the postcard features a custom monogram stamp.

The front of the z-fold card was the guest's name on a silver seal.

Silver envelopes were printed with the guest's addresses.

Love the table numbers with each table number written out.
