Vintage Luggage Tag Save the Dates

I had a blast working on these vintage luggage tags with Nicole. The wedding will be at The Balsams Resort in New Hampshire and is a destination wedding for most of her guests. The wedding will be vintage and I suggested luggage tags. The front has a tree and a bird and the back was made to look like a luggage tag with typewriter fonts.

Rachel + Alexander: Damask Wedding Invitations

Damask is just as popular this year as it was last year. Rachel wanted damask invitations in their color scheme, black and purple. It's always a challenge to make damask invitations look different when I do so many. For Rachel's suite, I put a monogram in purple inside the damask.

The inserts were bundled with lots of purple ribbon.

The RSVP has lots of information on it, including when the guests will arrive in town.

Matching damask accommodations card.

The outer envelopes are textured and gorgeous with machine calligraphy and custom stamps.

Brittany + Christopher: Damask Boxed Invitations

Brittany contacted me last summer after she had fallen in love with Heather's boxed invitations. She wanted something very similar but in her colors, black and white damask with red!

I tied the ribbons on this set in a classic bow with a gorgeous monogram.

The third panel in this suite was a large directions card.

LOVE the red rsvp envelopes with the design draping over the flap of the envelope.

The red box mailers were wrapped with a damask seal.

On the Web: Style Me Pretty

I just love being featured on Style Me Pretty. Some of my favorite brides have found me on Style Me Pretty. So I was thrilled to have a feature last week on Elizabeth and Andy's wedding. All photos from John Michael Cooper of AltF Photography.

And the next day, there was another feature about her Invitations. They were kind enough to feature Shannon's recent New Year's Eve Wedding.

French Vintage Wedding

Lauren and Jillian were married the beginning of the month. The gorgeous venue was Les Zygomates Wine Bar and Bistro in Boston and you may remember her French Poster inspired wedding invitations. I was thrilled to do all of the stationery for the event!

Square red programs

Square red menus that laid on top of a square napkin.

My favorite table numbers ever.

Labels for their red candy buffet bags.

Both brides are doctors and they named their signature drink after Freud!

And quoted Freud on their candy buffet sign.

Bride and Bloom Fresh Inspiration

Bride and Bloom also approached me to create an invitation that was inspired by Picasso. I also got to choose the painting that it was to be used for inspiration!

I chose Dora Maar au Chat painted by Picasso in 1941. Picasso had a decade long affair with Dora Maar and I was so enchanted with all of the paintings that he did of her during this time. Image Source - wikipedia.com

The concept for this invitation took weeks to come to me. I only had one week before the deadline and I still didn't have anything that was "it". I had the thought to have an invitation printed as an art canvas, and that led me to the final design. I hand painted small art canvases and then had the invitation screen printed onto the canvas.

My next step was to design the RSVP postcard. I wanted it to be unique as well. I had the idea that I would send a paintbrush and a pot of paint with each invitation. I also designed the custom Picasso like stamps.

I made custom labels for the paint jar and put a monogram on the lid.

The guest is asked to paint or draw their own masterpiece on the rsvp!

In the Press: Bride and Bloom Fresh Colors

Back in August, Bride and Bloom approached me to create a romantic invitation with the fresh new color of Navy.

I wanted to design something very luxurious. So I made a custom raw silk portfolio with a pocket on the inside to hold the rsvp postcard.
I've always loved cameos and pearls. They just say vintage romance to me. So I closed the entire folio with 20 strands of pearls.
The letterpress invitation was attached inside the folio.

New Website is now live!

My new website has been months in the works. Back in September, I traipsed out in the woods in the 90 degree, mosquito infested woods, along with Dionne from The Shooting Gallery, Don and Joanne from Take1 Productions, four models, two of which did hair and makeup, Jen and Steph from Deux Adore. Thanks to everyone for all of their efforts! Be sure to check out the new Portfolio section too!

Honey Mae + Reece: Destination Boracay Island

Honey Mae is having the most amazing destination wedding in Boracay, Phillipines. I might have to smuggle myself into her suitcase. :) I had so much fun working with her on these. We designed them with a bright lavendar and silver and deep purple accents. She sent photos of the palm trees on the beach and mentioned that she was doing sand dollars in different parts of the wedding.

I designed a vertical z-fold with a palm tree on the beach for the invitation.

There are only 30 invitations in this order and Honey Mae knew that everyone invited was attending the wedding. So we dropped the RSVP card and included a travel information card instead.

The outside was sealed shut with loads of deep purple ribbon and a seal with the guest's name.

The platinum outer envelopes were addressed with machine calligraphy.

Custom stamps with a palm tree finished off this suite.

Winter Bride and Bloom Ad

I've been on pins and needles anxiously awaiting the release of the Winter Bride and Bloom. It was definitely worth the wait! I was shocked yesterday to find that I have FOUR invitations featured in the magazine! It is on the newsstands now so be sure to pick up a copy. New clients who are receiving their swatches in the coming weeks will have a copy in with their materials. :) This photo was taken by Dionne of The Shooting Gallery. The gorgeous feather collar was made by the talented ladies at Emplume. I wanted to steal it that day, it was so beautiful. Monica's hair and makeup was done by Jennifer and Stephanie of Deux Adore. Be sure to check out the new and improved website on Monday for more photos from that day!

Turquoise, black & polka dots make this invitation so much fun

Black Classic Design with simpel design

This winter wedding has a snowflake theme, so we helped this couple design an elegant invitation in black & silver with a snowflake motif. The text is printed on vellum and overlays a silver snowflake printed onto metallic silver paper. The back of the invitation has a pocket that houses the RSVP postcard & reception card.

Red Simple Design

Pinky Classic Design

Gerber daisies in pink, orange & yellow were the inspiration for this wedding announcement set. The panel pocket was done in a pink metallic. The text was printed on an ecru cardstock with a group of yellow daisies printed in the bottom corner. To add just that extra touch, the daisies have bling centers! The pocket on the back houses a sealing ceremony card, registry card and directions card.

Pocketfold Design

This landscape, pocketfold custom invitation was done in chocolate brown and warm terra cotta. The couple will be wed at Red Barn Farms and wanted to incorporate the wheat into their invitations. We added the wheat graphic and a swirly organza ribbon as accents. The pocket on the back of the invitation houses an Accommodations/Map card, a Registry Card and a RSVP Postcard with the couple return address printed on the back.
