I want to try to do something different this season and show the process for the invitation design. It'll be a lot of extra blogging so we'll see how long it lasts. ;)
Rebecca contacted me to make her invitations for her upcoming April wedding. When we were talking about the design, Rebecca sent me this picture and email:
chris was taking pictures at the wedding location to create our own save the date. hummingbird nest ranch has amazing wrought iron gates all over the property that gives off a beautiful spanish vibe, which we fell in love with. the location is so unique and special, so we are trying to incorporate the "look" into elements of the wedding. From her photo, I designed this pretty scroll work. I placed it in the very top corner, but not in full view.
This made the design not as formal and matched perfectly with Rebecca's choice of handwritten fonts and her informal wording. The colors are so beautiful and fresh in a forest green, light green and slate blue.
I had fun with the Rehearsal Dinner invitations and used a graphic with an iron scroll holding silverware.
