Beth + Alden: Venue and Dress Inspired

Beth wasn't certain of the elements that she wanted on her invitation. She sent me this AMAZING photo of her wedding dress.

She also told me that she really loved her venue, the Westin Book Cadillac in Detroit. I remembered seeing this photo in Arising Images blog. These two photos became the inspiration for her invitation suite.

Beth's colors are chocolate brown and the lightest peach color. The invitation was printed in these two colors with this vintage looking graphic that has similar flowers to her dress.

The RSVP postcard was designed with a pretty monogram, emblem. Her inserts were wrapped together with matching peach ribbon. If the post office wouldn't charge more for a bow, I would have loved to have tied it to match the sash on her dress.

And I did a complimenting graphic on her side flap opens.

Lorraine + David: Wedding Inspired

Lorraine came to me with the new trend in weddings - inspiration boards. She had seen this wedding in Martha Stewart Weddings and wanted many of the same elements at her own wedding. The invitation is one that she had found five years ago and the business is long gone. She REALLY wanted the look of this invitation and Ana of TwoFoot Creative suggested that she come to me.

We did the same ribbon behind the invitation - something I've never done before. I made the graphic more formal to match the other elements at her wedding.

The RSVP card is gorgeous with the same graphic in the background of the detailed menu wording.

And we did these beautiful blue envelopes with matching custom stamps.

Elizabeth + Andy: Linen Inspired

Elizabeth contacted me about doing her invitations after Tracey from Your Las Vegas Wedding Concierge had suggested I do her seating chart. Boy, am I glad she did! Elizabeth's invites quickly have become one of my favorite all time invitations.

The design all started with the linens! Elizabeth loved the print and asked if I could use them for inspiration. I designed a very similar looking ribbon swirl and whimsical five petal flowers.

I wanted the design to be center of attention on this gorgeous custom gatefold. The invitation is very modern and minimal with all capital sans serif font. Just the names have a little something to them printed in lime green and with a swirled "and" between their names.

Each of the inserts was printed with the designed pattern on the back and held in place with lime green sashes.

The postcard has a lime green ribbon twist and flowers with custom stamps. I've been looking forward to doing this fun option on someone's RSVPs with lines for the guest to send a special wish!

Her other inserts included a travel card to the Four Seasons in Las Vegas and a Rehearsal Dinner invitation for all of their guests.

The outside is held shut with a lime green paper wrap custom printed with the flower and ribbon design. I custom made envelope liners with the same print and custom stamps for the outer envelope completed this gorgeous invitation suite.
