Pearl Events

One of my brides told me about Aletha and her amazing blog a few months ago. I've been an avid reader of her blog at Pearl Events ever since. I love Aletha's style and her ideas are amazing. I hope I get to work on more weddings with her in the coming years. Anyone on the west side of the state should definitely give her a holler. Oh and she featured me today on her blog! Check it out. The pictures are all courteous of Dionne at The Shooting Gallery.

Jennifer's Love Bird Reception

Jennifer will be tattooed with Henna for her Indian Ceremony. She wanted love birds for her wedding invitations. You can read the story about the "a" in that post. When designing the reception items, I wanted to be sure that the special "a" was included. Their monogram came from that - neither name had an "a" in it, but "and" does. ;) I love this new program style that is a simple one side piece of cardstock that is custom cut so it doesn't look like just another sheet of cardstock. I used her lovebird monogram on the table numbers and unity candle and even on the small menu item signs.

Lora's Wedding

Lora had one of my more challenging weddings this year. Everything we have done, her Save the Dates, Wedding invitations and now every item at the wedding and reception, has been in both English and German. The most challenging were the 8 page programs and menus. But what could be more custom than two sets of the pieces to accommodate all of their guests.

Marcy's Grand Traverse Resort Wedding

Marcy's booklet invitations were one of my favorites of the year. Her reception items - especially the seating chart- continue to be among my favorites. I love this simple style program with a printed sleeve jacket. The menus and table numbers are beautiful and stylish, but don't complete with her lavish table setup. I was asked to do this wedding by Misty from Bells and Bliss. She is among my favorite coordinators and I worked very closely with her on this wedding. If anyone is seeking a coordinator or event planner, Misty is one my preferred to recommend. I'll be thrilled to post pictures of all of her efforts in the weeks to come.

Katie's Rehearsal Dinner invitations

Katie's wedding invitations are right up my alley and I was thrilled when she asked me to do her Rehearsal Dinner invitations. She gave me the liberty to come up with the style and she choose this modern flower graphic. she even splurged and got custom stamps. At the same time, I made her thank you cards so she could begin sending those out.

Take 1 Blog!

Shannon's butterfly wedding, that was coordinated by Laura Davis, is featured in the Take 1 blog! I love Don and Joanne from Take 1 and I was thrilled on Monday when I found out they were the cinematographer's at Shannon's wedding at the MGM Grand last weekend. The video was actually done the same day and shown at the wedding. What a gorgeous wedding and I was so happy to be a part of it. :)

Color Trends: Red and Turquoise

I love this color combination of vibrant red with bright turquoise or teal! A great wedding color scheme for a January or February wedding.

Heather's Chicago Skyline Wedding

Heather's is one of my big accomplishments this year. You can read the story of her skyline design in this blog entry for her Save the Dates and more in this entry about her Chicago Wedding invitations. We continued the skyline and monogram with stars onto all of pieces for the wedding. My favorite - the Personalized Dining Menus - where each guest's name is custom printed on the menu. I also did the Chicago skyline on the Signature Cocktail menu, unity candle and her gorgeous brown and blue programs.

Lisa's Black Tie Wedding

Lisa's letterpress wedding invitations are one of my favorite from the year (link ). The inspiration was the tiny black ribbons that will be wrapped around her wedding cake. We used black string on her invitations and did the same on her Letterpress Menus! I've always wanted to do Letterpress menus and hope to someday do Letterpress table numbers as well. I used the string motif on her seating chart as well.

Neeley's RD Invites

Neeley sent me a Rehearsal Dinner invitation that she really liked. It is a ton different then the design we ended up with. The main elements that she liked were the "What" "Where" "When" and I just went with the rest of it myself. She was originally going to do Damask, but she liked this swirly design that we've used on her shower and will use at everything at the wedding.

Snowflake Wedding Invitations

This set would be great for a December or January wedding. The panel invitations are triple layered with textured cardstock, metallic silver paper and metallic white paper. It is topped off with a organza metallic silver ribbon and comes with metallic silver envelopes. The RSVP card is double layered and also comes with metallic silver envelopes.

If purple and teal are not your colors, no problem we can customize this set in any color theme! We have this set up on our Etsy site.

Anastasia's Extras - the coolest ever

I was so thrilled when Anastasia asked me to do her wedding. The item that excited me the most were her hang tags. The valet is going to hang these adorable tags from the review mirror when they bring the guest their car! Programs and placecards complete her set.

I received this today from Patti, Anastasia's mom:
Kiss Kiss, love you and love your work. We couldn't be more pleased. Everything is beautiful!! Stacy and I love everything. The car tag is so cute, everyone will think it's a great personal touch. The place cards look lovely, love the print, graphic and size. The brochures are beautiful, so elegant, everyone is going to love them.
Tifany, thank you so much you have made our paper goods ART but even better, you have been a pleasure to work with!

Jody's English Garden Wedding

Jody's monogram took me a lot of design energy and thought. It was a small piece on the front of her invitation sashes. But for the wedding, I wanted to bring it front and center. So I used it everywhere. Her seating chart has the rose garden graphic watermarked behind the guests' names. I designed a new style program for her which is a bi-fold, but with a small reveal on the side. Custom candy bag labels, menus, table numbers and a few signs completed her set.

Crystal's Wedding Reception

Crystal's Invitations did not have a theme. The colors and the ornament became their "theme" for all of the reception items. I did a seating chart, table numbers, menus (a different size than my others), programs and some signs - including entrance and guest book signs. There favors are coasters and I made inserts for each one.

Nicole's Heart Theme Wedding Reception

I love the way Nicole's heart theme wedding led the design on all of these pieces. She choose a trifold program and I used the poem from her invitations on the cover. The table numbers are fun with the numbers cut out of the heart. And the seating chart is stunning in all pink.
