Shawn's Seating Chart

I did Shawn's seating chart through Misty at Bells and Bliss weddings. The design changed lots of times but we finally settled on this pretty one with light grey scroll work in the background.

Introducing Boxed Invitations!

I've never been this excited about an invitation. When Elizabeth emailed me I was booked and had to put her on my wait list. It wasn't looking good though. Then she called me and I don't want to say she begged, but she pretty much did. Then she had to go and mention that her wedding reception is in an art gallery and I was hooked.

Elizabeth then told me that she has made paper flowers forever and that she wanted a Fuji Mum theme. She was making large paper mums for the centerpieces and her future husband proposed with a white Fuji Mum. I mentioned that it would be so amazing to put a paper flower on each invitation and then mail the invitation in a white box mailer. Now I had Elizabeth hooked.

I spent months looking for a source for box mailers. Thank goodness I did because these invitations are stunning. Elizabeth made 100 white crepe paper flowers that will be attached to the cover of the invitation. Next comes the invitation - with reverse colors of white on black. The rsvp postcard has a coordinating custom stamp that becomes part of the design. The last card is a directions and general information card.

The white boxes are sealed with a large wrap printed with a coordinating graphic and the guest's addresses. The outer stamp is actually two stamps that when put together form a Fuji Mum.

Thank you Elizabeth for begging me to do these and for going along with me on this amazing set. I'm pretty sure I'm the luckier one in this relationship. :)

Julie's Decked out Panels

Julie and Steve were referred to me by Tracie at You're the Bride. I've know Tracie for a few years now and was thrilled when she contacted me about Julie's upcoming wedding at the Royal Park Hotel. Julie loved the look of panel invitations but she really wanted them special. These invitations are amazing with their bold orange and yellows and gorgeous graphic with a bold poppy on a branch. We did a map, brunch inserts, two custom RSVPs for the two events and my new double layered sashes. Her custom stamps are gorgeous with the design flowing right off of the card into the stamp. Are the outer envelopes are definitely my favorite ever. The stamp on the front is the focus with the modern layout of the address. But the back is beautiful with a full graphic and monogram on the back flap. The reception is going to incorporate these colors and red!

Earth Friendly Green Letterpress Invitations!

Jessica contacted me with my first request for "Green" invitations. Kevin is an environmentalist and the paper products were very important to him. We did these invitations with 100% cotton rag stock. So not only is it paper free, but it is using scrap from the cotton industry! We did an RSVP postcard to further due the material and there are no inner envelopes.

But the other amazing side of these invitations is the story of the design. When I started to talking to Jessica about the design she mentioned that she was wearing her great-grandmother's broach in her hair. The broach was also the inspiration behind her wedding dress. I jumped at the chance to do something so personal on her invitations.

The invitations are two color - red and brown. All of the inserts and outer envelope are letterpressed in brown and I had the design drape over the flap of the envelopes. Custom stamps were designed for the pieces. Jessica is having the envelopes done in calligraphy and also deep red sashes around the inserts will be done in calligraphy.

Thanks you two for choosing me. The invitations were important to both Jessica and Kevin for different reasons and I'm thrilled that I was able to work on these.

Ebonie's Seating Chart

Ebonie had designed and made everything paper for her wedding. Just a few weeks ago, she decided that she need to have someone else do her chart and she contacted me. She had designed this beautiful monogram that turned out so pretty on the seating chart.

Sosi's Armenian Invitations

Last year, Sosi contacted me for her October wedding. She told me that she needed her invitations to be both in English and Armenian. I was booked. But I had had this invitation in my head forever and I emailed her back and agreed to do her wedding. When I met with her and her mother, I think I had more fun at that consult then any other one I've ever had. Armenian invitations are traditionally done as a folded card - with the Armenian on one side and the English on the other. They were so excited when I tried to tell them my idea. Instead of being stuck with tradition and what they knew, Karen and Sosi were giddy with the idea that their guests would get something totally new.

I am thrilled to introduce this new invitation. I layered a piece of vellum on top of a panel invitation. It was designed with precision so that the lines of text are both visible - with the Armenian on top and the English underneath. I got the opportunity to use new printed vellum with matching rsvp postcards and even printed envelope liners. The subtle cream and butter colors are rich together and the one hint of color - a tiny brown ribbon that knots to hold the pieces together. A sash with the guest's names wraps around her inserts, including this wonderful map.

I used the Armenian words for Response, Reception and Map on the pieces to continue the Armenian throughout each piece. This invitation could be used for any language, but there is something so wonderful about the characters in the Armenian language that made these so special to me - oh and to Sosi and Aram of course.

So thanks to another bride (and her mother) who had really no idea what I was doing and trusted me to make these amazing invitations.

Erica's 08.08.08 Wedding

Erica's 08.08.08 wedding has been a ton of fun to work on. We did quite a few monogram with and without the date and Erica finally chose this monogram that went on her favor labels, menus and seating chart. We did her flower graphic from her invitations on the seating chart, programs and the memory candle. The seating chart, like a lot of my seating charts, is going to be hung in her house after the wedding and we toned down the pink a little to fit into Erica's color scheme in her house.
